COVID-19 Clinic Update – I AM OPEN!
To all my valued patients and friends,
I am excited to announce the re-opening of my office for unrestricted chiropractic care as permitted by the Ministry of Health and the CCO. The online booking schedule is open for treatment, with new policies and procedures in place to help keep everyone healthy and safe. I have been working diligently to ensure that the office is set up to comply with every new standard of health and safety.
In an effort to keep everyone safe, the following protocols are being implemented for all in person visits to the clinic.
Clinic Hours & Scheduling: As this is a solo-practitioner practice, very little was needed to be changed with regards to scheduling.
Personal Protective Equipment: In order to ensure the health and safety of all patients, the practitioner will be wearing a mask. It is recommend that patients bring and wear their own masks, unless there is a medical reason that prevents you from doing so.
Active Patient Screening: All patients will be emailed a COVID19 screening questionnaire 24 hours prior to each booked appointment. This screening needs to be completed and submitted BEFORE you arrive at the clinic for your visit.
Complete an Active screening prior to entering the clinic.
Briefly, screening criteria are:
- have you have SARS-CoV-2
- have you travelled outside the country or been in close physical contact with someone who has
- have you been exposed to someone with SARS-CoV-2 while you were not wearing appropriate PPE
- do you have new symptoms suggesting potential infection (fever, sore throat, new cough, worsening chronic cough, malaise, nasal congestion, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, hoarse voice, chills, abdominal pain or digestive symptoms, – not explained by other known causes. If you are 70 years of age or older, screening includes an increase in number of falls, delirium or worsening of chronic conditions).
Clinic Disinfection Protocols: New clinic disinfection protocols that comply with the public health guidelines have been adopted and will be strictly adhered to on a patient-to-patient and day-to-day basis. The common areas of the clinic have been re-arranged and spaced out to allow proper distancing, and the entire clinic, including all treatment and high touch surfaces, are being disinfected multiple times per day.
Lastly, if you don’t feel ready to come into the clinic for in-person appointments just yet, I understand completely and will be here for you when you are comfortable to return to care.
I am aware that all of these changes may look different and take time to get used to, but this is to ensure that the most exceptional care is being provided to my patients during this difficult time.
